Born in 1953, he lives near Milan.
Always actracted from visual arts and particularly, painting, which V. Rappa feels as an aim to represent and give a personally interpretation of the surrounding envinroment.
V. Rappa initially started as self-taught man and later, he attended at some painting schools of art, specialized in oil, acrilic and pastel tecniques, under the teaching of Maestro Felice Bossone first, and then at Paolo Borsa School in Monza.
He has partecipated to various exhibitions and competitions arousing a strong interest.He is present in various artgalleries and private collections.
In his works it prevails a sensible and positive view, giving more importance to harmonious elements in their natural expression, regular and familiar forms.
Subjects preferred as landscapes or female portraits, are thinked in a "italian style" and in a classic way, but nevertheless they are very actual and near our day-today life.
V. Rappa's style is particularly careful to build a correct formal composition but oriented to point out any values and sensations lying below.
