Hailing from Wardhannapet, Warangal district in Andhra Pradesh, Kumar has always loved to paint and draw. Even during his childhood, his talent was very visible and he won many prizes at school and later at the college level.
Driven by his passion for pursuing art, he soon graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from J N T University , Hyderabad in 1996.
His talent was quickly recognized and he was invited to participate in many important art meets at the state and national level such as Group Show, Graphic Arts ( 1995), J N T University, All India Art Exhibition (1998 & 2001, 2003), 5th A P State level Art Exhibition (2001), 62nd A P State level Art Exhibition and a Solo contemporary art exhibition titled “My Neighbours” at State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad, March 24th to 31st, 2007. Some of his works are currently on display in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Germany. He has to his credit many prestigious awards, the outstanding one among them being ‘Highly Commendable Certificate Award’ from All India Fine Art & Craft Society (2004).
