My name is Jef Compton. I am a 49 year old artist/illustrator from Orestes, Indiana.
I have always had a talent for cartooning and drawing. I attended the Art Institute
of Pittsburgh and have worked in screen print and sign production for many years.
Recently I have begun making my own greeting cards and done commissions of pet portaits.
I love nature and being outdoors. I,ve focus on landscapes and wildlife paintings, with
fish being one of my favorite subjects. I won first and second prize in the Alexandria Community
Vision Art show. I have worked as a free-lance artist for many years and have also followed a
career in radio broadcasting. During the summer of 2008, I had my right foot amputated,
due to diabetes. This has allowed me to spend more time focusing on my artwork.
