Artist Statement
Early in life, through play with nature, i discovered the transformational and cyclical processes in the patterns that connect the micro and macrocosm. Through dynamic symbolic use of line, form, color, gesture, sound, and language, i emotionally express these concepts intuitively in an attempt to convey the paradoxically unifying concepts in spirituality, art, and science. My painting comes from either spontaneous, automatic or subconscious creation that usually employ a combination of traditional and experimental techniques, or from concepts that take precedence over traditional aesthetic and material concerns. All strive to express an aspect of the human endeavor to understand the ultimate nature of reality, metaphysics.
