Laki Senanayake is a highly sought after Sri Lankan artist, sculptor and naturist who was commissioned to produce a sculpted chandelier which hangs in the main chamber of the Sri Lankan Pariament. He also dis the original paintings for the Sri Lanka currency note series featuring the flora and fauna endemic to Sri Lanka (found only in ). The Central Bank issued this series of currency notes circa 1979. These beautiful 'work of art' currency notes have been snatched up by collectors the world over and it is very rare to find any notes in circulation today. A limited edition of digital prints, signed and numbered by the artist have been produced from the original paintings from which the Sri Lankan currency notes of the 'flora and fauna' series were printed by the world renowned currency note printers, Bradbury Wilkinson Ltd.
