I live in Nottingham in the UK and have been exploring photography for over 40 years.
My first love is the sea and especially the dramatic North east coast of England, where I was born. I frequently travel north from Nottingham and take photographs from Wearmouth to Northumberland over the changing seasons. I take photographs when I have travelled to New Zealand, Sardinia, Iceland, France, Spain, Estonia and Ireland. I hope to enlarge the number of overseas countries in the future.
I converted from my Canon AE-1 to digital format over three years ago and have fully embraced this new technology, upgrading to a Canon 5D. I shoot mainly in Raw format with no in-camera processing including sharpening. I post process using Photoshop CS2.
For private commisions I photograph mainly Family groups, especially young children and babies, keeping the sessions informal and shooting using natural light.
