Profile
STEPHEN KISHEL Artist Statement Under the loving mentorship of my father, I learned to weld sculpture at age seven. My first works were from nature. While hiking across my father’s island in Canada or in the northwoods near Grandmother’s house. In my emotionally charged teen years, my diverse moods combined with the momentum of the sixties. These powerful internal/external forces caused an inscrutable genius of self-realization that was made manifest it in the most ethereal sculptural culminations. Being the grandson of a Polish immigrant with a strong work ethic, working feverishly on my sculptures comes natural. I can often be found in my art studio late into the night and thru the weekends. Several clients have remarked, after visiting my website, that the ones they liked best were sold. By noting their preferences and listening to them talk about their home or business, a commission sculpture results that captures their vision, exceeds their expectation and is a one-of-a-kind original.
