This is an acrylic on a 16x20 inch canvas. There's a Scottish legend about a creature called a Selkie. Selkies are seals who turn into women by shedding their skins. If a man can hide the seal skin from her, she will stay with him. But if she finds the skin she'll put it back on and jump into the sea, never to return.
