Hand carved wooden fish created without patterns. Conch Key is named after a town in the State of Florida and is part of a series of fish being named for cities around the state. Once a name has been used it is retired from the series and will not be used again. Painted in watercolors, which allows the natural beauty and knots to show through the paint. Then it has been sealed with 6 coats of a marine grade varnish that will protect the colors against fading over a long period of time because of the UV protectant in the varnish. Signed, dated and numbered along with the city name by wood burning into the backside. The fish has a wire hanger and also a glass fish eye. From DryRiver Carvings.
