Discount Promotion Of My Art Works

I wish to make sure you are aware that aside from my usual gallery outlets, many of my “Original Limited Series Artworks” are available for purchase ONLINE

All of the artworks listed at the aforementioned galleries are also available as “Signed Fine Art Prints”, in the unique size of 60cm x 40cm (23.60” x 15.63”).

I have also decided to offer ALL artworks shown on my website for purchase as “Signed Fine Art Prints”.

“Signed Fine Art Prints” are NOT limited series, and are NOT mounted. They will be delivered rolled in a tube, ready for mounting. However, they are of the very highest quality, professionally printed to museum archival standards, on archival photographic paper (the exact make and type of paper varies depending upon the artwork being purchased). They are ALL signed and dated on the rear by the artist.

For a limited period of time, all of my “Original Limited Series Artworks” available for purchase from the above virtual galleries, may be purchased at a discounted price, via this Blog announcement. Discounts vary according to the artwork being purchased (please enquire for exact pricing).

“Signed Fine Art Prints” are normally sold uniquely via my online listings at US$680 (excluding postage). However, as a special promotion through this Blog, I am offering “Signed Fine Art Prints” at US$580 (including postage). This equates to a discount in excess of 15%.

To make a discounted purchase, simply post a reply to this Blog listing, informing me exactly which artwork you wish to purchase and in what format. I will then revert back to you without delay, and ensure the goods are despatched to you at the discounted price once payment has been received. For pricing enquiries of original artworks, please inform me which artwork you are interested in and I will revert back to you with confirmation of the discounted price. Be sure to mention this Blog listing in your e-mail.

My work is now in the hands of private and corporate collectors world-wide, and is gaining additional recognition on a daily basis. I also have two books being published towards the end of this year, which will for certain bring my work even more into the mainstream focus of the collector community. As such, I believe this is an excellent opportunity to acquire my work at an affordable price with maximum investment potential.

I look forward to receiving your enquiries and thank you in anticipation.

" Us Law Firm Davis Polk Wardwell Commission Artwork"

The US law firm Davis Polk Wardwell (DPW) have invested in a unique image which they commissioned me to produce earlier this year for their new France HQ, located in the Champs Elysees, Paris.

DPW first arrived in France in 1962, and their very first offices were situated at "La Place de La Concorde". Upon their recent move to their new France HQ, the management decided that to commemorate the occasion it would be a good idea to commission a photographic artwork depicting the firm’s first corporate base in France. The only guideline given, was that the image should be "artistic" and not resemble a tourist shot of this already very famous location.

This resulted in a series of some 30 images being shot, from which the image entitled "Time and Motion" was selcted. The image in question has been purchased as a unique "one-of-one" artwork. Pinted on Kodak Endura paper behind 6mm plexiglas, using the Diasec procss. The photographic lab responsible for the printing was Paris based Cyclope, and the mounting and framing was carried-out by sister company Deuxiem Oeil, who did an outstanding job (as would be expected), and to which I offer my sincere thanks and appreciation.

The entire "Place de la Concorde" series can be viewed on my website. Aside from "Time and Motion" the other images in the series are also available for purchase. Please contact me if you would like additional information regarding format, series, pricing, etc.

" Art Process Trapani 2007"

Art Process is an online art project that involves hundreds of artists from many countries. Set up in 2004, Art Process permits artists to create their own virtual gallery to publicise their works and ideas, but above all strives to create a dialogue between those artists in the dynamic exchange of opinion on the site.
In a few years the site has become a reference point for artists on the internet.
Collaboration with artist Antonio Sammartano gave way to the realization of an international meeting at Trapani, Sicily in July 2007 of Art Process artists.
The meeting proposal was sent to all artists showing on the website, and about 100 reponded positively expressing an interest in attending. The project aroused the interest of the city council of Trapani, and the Curia Vescovile of Trapani (which in recent years has demonstrated a notable sensitivity in promoting contemporary art). The diocese has made available an unused and deconsecrated church (Sant’Alberto) in the centre of Trapani as an exhibition location, while the city council has given the use of the nearby, newly renovated ex-"Mercato del Pesce", and a piazza on the waterfront.
The international artistic presence, along with local artists, and the people of Trapani will combine to create a dynamic cultural event of visual art and language - a meeting place for art, and artists, in the public domain.
Each participating artist has created at least one new artwork for this exhibition. The idea to record the history of the creation of the artwork by photographing and commenting at various stages of it’s preparation has been taken up by some of the artists and is recorded in the "Studio Log" section of the Art Process website.
The diverse approach of each artist allows this project to exceed the confines of the usual "fossilized" art exhibition, and become a creative studio of painting, installation, sculpture, photography, and video that reflect a changing society, the confrontation of nature and urban life, and explore links with tradition.
The idea to de-contextualize the artspace into multiple spaces in the city allows greater access for the public to the artworks. Visitors to the show will not fail to admire the city, it’s location, and in time may come to consider Trapani as a new venue on the international artworld circuit.

The following artists are participating:

Maria Pia ADAMO (Italy), Lidia BACHIS (Italy), Simone BARBIERI (Italy), Alida BERTINOTTI (Italy), Isabella BRANELLA (Italy), Sheila BROWN (Ireland), Patricia CARMO BALTAZAR CORREA (Brazil), Mario CASSISA (Italy), Elisa CELLA (Italy), Paolo Roberto D’ALIA (Italy), Michela DEL DEGAN (Italy), John-Paul DELANEY (Ireland), Derek DES ISLETS (USA), Giovanna DONNARUMMA (Italy), Georges DUHAMEL (Canada), Vasyl DZHABRAYLOV (Ukraine), Shefqet Avdush EMINI (Kosovo), Petra (Pyro) ENGELHARDT (Germany), Massimo FORCATO (Italy), Daniele FRANZELLA (Italy), Tommaso GARAVINI (Italy), Margie GLASS (USA), Lina GOLAN (Israel), Elena HABICHER (Switzerland), HILARY (Ireland), Thomas HODGES (UK), Gennaro IPPOLITO (Italy), Antonella IURILLI DUHAMEL (Italy), Milena JOVICEVIC (Montenegro), Hillel KAGAN (Canada), Sue KENNINGTON (UK), Doug KINSEY (USA), Karen KRUSE (Spain), Rainer LANDECK (Germany), Mauro LOVI (Italy), Kristina LYCKE (Italy), Luca MANNINO (Italy), Tomaso MARCOLLA (Italy), Fabio MARINO (Italy), Vincenzolucio MATTALIANO(Italy), Eli MCBETT (Italy), Fred MICHIELS (Belgium), Teresa A. " ~ Imaginism ~ New Art Movement Created By Thomas Hodges

Much in the same way that Claude Monet began the “Impressionism” art movement back in the 1860s, as a photographic artist I have pioneered, and continue to pioneer a unique style which I term “Imaginism”.

Unrelated to the Russian poetic movement of the same name, although my images are often presented in association with poetry (either that of my own or others), pertaining to either the individual image or a series.

I hope that this will be the beginning of an era, and that the “Imaginism” art movement (perhaps even in compliment to the existing poetic movement), will bring artists together both photographic and otherwise.

The primarily theme of my own artwork is that of “Erotism”, and although related to “Erotica”, I choose to carefully distinguish one form the other. My work borders on “experimental”, focusing less on the subject and more on the formal aspects of the image, the light, movement and composition. Especially movement, which gives the image an intense atmosphere, masking the formal subject and replacing it with sensuality and suspense.

The objective of “Imaginism” and “Imaginistic Art”, is to encourage the viewer to see beyond what is actually being presented. To see what actually is not being shown. My images have been described as “surreal”, “manifesting within a dream” and even as “a gift from heaven”. Each viewer should and will see my work in a different context, but the one thing in common for all, is that each image conjures a question and will be viewed and remembered beyond its actual physical content.

I would welcome contact from any artist, working in any media, that feels his work fits within this movement, and would be interested in evolving the movement to an international level of recognition.
