Why I Paint
Why do I paint? Why do you paint? I paint because I don't know how not to. I have a compulsion to create images on whatever will hold them...paper, canvas, wood, ceramics, etc. I usually compose my work in bed. At some point it goes on some surface. I seem to have a camera in my head. I see things as I drive past and I remember what I see and at some point I put it down. Who shares my experience?

My work comes to me from a seperate reality, I'am not allowed to think or plan, only report what I see. I love your work and your words. I posted my work here in Art Blogs Oct.2008. Rick Holmes
