I have done very few still life subjects. So when I felt I needed to stretch my artistic ability, I decided to try a series of different still life subjects. This painting has a number of different types of fruit and vegetables. I enjoyed painting it.

Jacqueline Ditt & Mario Strack - Spring 08|
The artist couple presents:
"SoundTrack" Computergraphics / Digital Fine Art Prints
by Jacqueline Ditt
"SoundTrack" illustrated music / VideoClip
by Mario Strack
As one can guess, the computergraphic exhibition "SoundTrack" is dedicated to music. Jacqueline Ditt uses the play of words, to show with fgures, lines and flats how music leaves its "Tracks" in space respectively on paper. At once each character of the word soundtrack has its own composition but all of them 10 together add up to one overall picture. So the spectator can read the "Groove" of the exhibition.
Inspired by the theme and by Jacqueline Ditt's graphics Mario Strack writes a song of the same name. In it he focuses on the meaning that songs get in course of time in the life of at least a large number of people. As it were milestones, common as well as individual frames of mind are connected with them and stored on the time axis of the soul. In the song's videoclip the musician puts the graphics of the painter into motion, arranges them as part of the musical sequenze and so brings them back into the "SoundTrack".

Just Recently this painting won 3rd place at the Selma Raisen Festival Fine Art Show.
Artist: Gail Daley
Every year I create a painting that my husband can use as a Christmas card in his pool business. Thanks to a friend, I had this wonderful old photo of an elk. So I combined a memory of the winter I spent in Michigan as a child with the elk.
